You Helped Us Win Big—And We’re So Grateful

Every year, we ask you to vote for us in City Weekly’s Best of Utah: Body & Mind awards.

Here’s a breakdown of what we were recognized for — and what it means to us:

We know you're busy. We know it takes time. That’s why we’re so honored — and genuinely touched — that so many of you showed up for us.

This year, your votes amounted to something special.
Not only does it feel great (it really does!), but these recognitions help us grow, gain credibility, and reach more people who could benefit from the care we offer.

Here’s a breakdown of what we were recognized for

— and what it means to us:

Best Orthopedic Rehab

🥇 WINNER

This might be a posed photo, but laugher is a very standard feature of treatment at Converge. Dr. Amy Frugé (right), Supermodel: Toya (left)

Orthopedic rehab is the bread and butter of physical therapy: treating pain and dysfunction in joints, muscles, and movement patterns.

At Converge, our PTs — Dr. Amy Frugé, Dr. Jo Chau, and Dr. Jaime Hammons — bring expertise in the McKenzie Method, pelvic health, and more, using hands-on tools like dry needling and cupping. We tailor care to the individual, helping people move better, hurt less, and feel strong again.

Strength and nutrition are key to recovery, too. Alyssa Hernke, CSCS, bridges the gap between rehab and performance with functional strength training, while Colleen Shields, RD, supports healing from the inside out with personalized, shame-free nutrition.

We’re honored to be recognized for this foundational work. Thank you for the love!

Best Dry Needling

🥈 Runner-Up

Everybody’s favorite! This is somehow both satire and truth at the same time.

All three of our PTs — Amy, Jo, and Jaime — are certified in dry needling, and we use it often as a powerful tool to reduce pain, release tension, and speed recovery.

We don’t just needle and leave — this technique is thoughtfully integrated into personalized treatment plans designed for real, lasting progress.

We’re honored to receive this recognition. Thank you for trusting us with your care.

Best Physical Therapy

🥈 Runner-Up

Dr. Jo Chau, PT, DPT flexing her skills all across the Wasatch Front

Amy, Jo, and Jaime bring decades of combined experience, but what truly sets our clinic apart is how we treat the whole person — not just the injury.

We listen deeply, tailor care to your goals, and never rush the process. Whether it’s a climbing injury, pelvic floor dysfunction, chronic pain, or post-op rehab, we’re here to help you get back to the things that make you feel alive.

With in-house strength coaching from Alyssa and nutrition support from Colleen, we offer care that goes far beyond the treatment table.

Best Physical Therapist

🥉 Second Runner-Up: Dr. Amy Frugé, PT, DPT

Dr. Amy Frugé, PT, DPT, Founder, Owner of Converge PT

Once you meet Amy, you get it. She brings a rare blend of clinical mastery and deep intuition — the kind of provider who makes you feel seen, heard, and truly cared for.

Certified in the McKenzie Method, Amy takes a sharp, evidence-based approach to even the most complex injuries. But her impact goes beyond the clinic. She founded Converge in 2020 with a vision for whole-person care and grew it into something remarkable.

In 2024, she led us into a new space, expanded our team, and gave birth to her first child — all with grit, grace, and an inspiring sense of purpose.

We’re so lucky to be led by her, and thrilled to see her receive this well-deserved recognition.

Best Women’s Health Clinic

🥈 Runner-Up

Dr. Jaime Hammons, PT, DPT, ATC, Pelvic Health Specialist loves helping women learn about their bodies.

Dr. Jaime Hammons brings clarity, calm, and kindness to an area of care that’s too often overlooked. Her grounded, everyday approach helps people feel seen, supported, and at ease — without tiptoeing around the topic.

As an all-woman team, we work through lived experience. We’re proud to offer a space that feels safe, empowering, and inclusive for women and all genders.

This recognition reflects the kind of care we aim to offer every single day.

Best Prenatal Care

🥈 Runner-Up

Dr. Jaime Hammons, PT, DPT, ATC, Pelvic Health Specialist

Pregnancy brings a whole range of physical and emotional changes — some exciting, some overwhelming. Jaime supports people through every stage with warmth, clinical insight, and a steady presence.

Whether it’s managing pain, preparing for birth, or reconnecting with your body, her care is calm, grounded, and deeply reassuring. Her perspective also helps guide our entire team in how we support people through this powerful chapter.

Thank you for recognizing this important work. It’s a privilege we don’t take lightly.

Best Registered Dietitian

🥈 Runner-Up: Colleen Shields, RD

Colleen Shields, Registered Dietitian. If Colleen was a food she’d be a SUPER food!

Colleen talks about food in a way we’d never heard before: weight-neutral, shame-free, and deeply human.

She helps people unlearn the noise, understand their bodies, and fuel their goals with more clarity, confidence, and care. Specializing in endurance mountain athletes, Colleen is passionate about helping people get more out of their adventures by nourishing themselves in sustainable ways.

We’re proud to see her work recognized in a field that needs more voices like hers.

Best Spinal Health Center

🥈 Runner-Up

We talk about the spine a LOT. Visual aids necessary.

Spine care is at the core of what we do — so being recognized here means the world.

Our team specializes in the McKenzie Method, a globally respected, spine-centered approach that helps people understand their pain and take part in their own recovery. All of our PTs are either certified, specialized, or actively training in this method.

Thank you for seeing and celebrating the work we care so deeply about.
