When developing evidence-based treatments, Jo values educating her patients about their bodies and how to manage their symptoms so they can stay autonomous in their self-care even after they’ve graduated from therapy. Her treatment room is always filled with laughter and she loves to help you accomplish things beyond what you thought was possible - it fills her cup!

Common Misconception:

“Aches and pains are just a normal part of life.

I need to learn to live with it as I age”.

Jo’s response? Nope!

Lifestyle choices, stress, and how you treat your body on a daily basis plays a huge role in your health and your body’s capabilities. You may need to modify your routine, warm up a little better, and build in more recovery practices, but living with pain shouldn’t be considered the norm. Physical therapy is an act of daily self care - you might be surprised by how much you can manage pain and improve function with simple, daily practices from Dr. Jo.
